Nature Hearts Program
Our Nature Hearts Bush School Program operates every Wednesday and Thursday from the Byron Bay Scout Hall, located in the heart of Byron Bay.
When: Wednesday & Thursday
Where: Byron Scout Hall
How To Enrol: Email admin@nrp.org.au for an enrolment form link.
Using the Scout Hall as our home base, children regularly venture out to explore natural learning environments, connect with local community members, and develop meaningful relationships with the plants, animals, and landscapes around them. Through these experiences, children build a strong sense of belonging, responsibility, and connection to the land on which they learn.
This preschool program is designed for children who thrive outdoors, immersed in the natural world. Learning experiences focus on practical life skills, sustainability, cultural learning, and respectful engagement with Country. Children are encouraged to follow their curiosity, take considered risks, and develop confidence through authentic, hands-on experiences in nature.
To ensure a high-quality learning environment, we enrol a maximum of 10 children, supported by two educators.
At Nature Hearts, we believe that children who develop a deep connection with nature will grow to love and care for the planet. By fostering this connection from an early age, we nurture an intrinsic motivation to protect, respect, and sustain the natural world for future generations.

All Programs
The curriculum in all rooms is created in participation with families and children and is based on the unique needs, interests, and life events related to the specific children and families in that room. Our early childhood curriculum emerges from the individual community in each individual room and changes with the changing needs of each group.
